Curriculum vitae

Lubomír Franc, the President of the Hradec Králové Region, was born in Broumov in 1953. After leaving chemical high school in Ústí nad Labem he worked as a worker and later as an economist in the company VEBA Broumov. In 1993 he became a president of the trade union in the company. In 1989-1991 he studied IT, 1999 he graduated from the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University (bachelor degree in HR management). Since 1998 he has been a member of municipal assembly in Broumov. In 2006 he was elected vice mayor of the town Broumov. He is a member of Czech Social Democratic Party. Since the autumn of 2008 he has been the President of the Hradec Králové Region.

Mr. Lubomír Franc has two grown up children.
